About

Vinh Ho — I build systems for a living and write about the parts that don’t fit in a commit message.

I’m a software engineer in Ho Chi Minh City, working mostly on distributed systems, databases, and the infrastructure that keeps them running. This blog is where I write about things I’ve learned the hard way — the bugs that took three days, the architecture decisions I’d make differently, and the quiet relief of shipping code that is merely good enough.

The nameplate uses the Broadsheet design system: near-black Source Serif 4 on paper white, with cyan and magenta process accents. No boxes, no dividers — hierarchy from type scale and whitespace alone. It’s a newsprint aesthetic, because that’s how I think about engineering writing: direct, legible, and worth the paper it’s printed on.
